Modern Portraits of Old Craftsmanship is a collaborative series with fellow photographer Alessandro Venier.
The book is the result of a one and half year long research in our province. We visited over 60 workshops and met the last generation of workers whose crafts are slowly facing extinction. We photographed them in reserved spaces to which customers usually have no access. Men and women, witnesses and crafters of
a world that is still there where it’s always been, despite difficulties and modernization. A world that was never more valuable to point out a new path to new generations as it is today.
