Tutto il tempo del mondo

Information
The project offers an account of the Pietro Presot Tannery. Balsamini explores the environments of his hometown tannery-which since 1932 has been producing leather using an artisanal process in which water and vegetable tannins are the main factors of production. Hands at work, tools, hides, the old building and the disruptive nature that surrounds it emerge in images that oscillate between concreteness and abstraction, even verging on the language of conceptual art. At the center of the narrative, which continues in the fragments accompanying the images and in the text written by Lisa Cadamuro, is time: a theme that reflects the essence of this nearly century-old activity where every gesture, every day, is repeated the same, respectful of the present, the past and the future.
